Our state-sponsored Connecticut
Career Fairs have a history of providing the most
results-oriented, cost-effective career fairs available
in Connecticut. In 1996, the first ever fair hosted 15
companies and slightly over 100 attendees. Today our
Connecticut Career Fairs host between 50 - 80 companies,
depending on location and venue. The average fee per
booth at our fairs is quite reasonable when compared to
the industry standard. Our fee covers the costs of the
fair including media advertising, printing, mail-outs,
booths, and lunch for employers. Each fair is advertised
through radio and newspaper ads, as well as the

The Spring 2016 Career
Fairs, which took place in Manchester, Danbury, and
Cromwell areas, attracted more than 4,200 attendees.
Over the past year we have assisted more than 10,000 job
seekers and hosted over
450 employers. In the interest of those we serve,
partnerships have been developed with local Chambers of
Commerce, colleges and universities, Workforce
Investment Boards and community-based organizations.
These partnerships help to determine the needs of the
people in the local area and how we can meet those

At each fair, attendees
have the chance to meet with prospective employers, and
can also take advantage of the following services:

available for resume critiquing.
- Access to CT.Jobs, our electronic
job matching system, part of the nation’s largest
internet employment service.

provide assistance and guidance.

Since many attendees are
employed or not yet displaced from their jobs, we have
the opportunity to publicize all our services should
they need them.
Our Extensive Marketing
Our extensive marketing
campaign consists of radio, newspaper, career centers,
and direct mail to more than 50,000 job seekers. In
addition, our job fair Web site averages more than
13,000 hits per month, with another 110,000 searches
through our partner, CT.jobs. We have received coverage
on our job fairs from news stations such as: Eyewitness
News Channel 3, News Channel 8, NBC 30, and News 12
Connecticut. We advertise on radio stations such as: The
River, WTIC, WRCH, WBMW,Q –105, Star 99, WPLR, WQGN, and
